Tiffany & Co. CHAMPS ÉLYSEÉS, PARIS
Partner Nicholas Rigos co-lead the store design team on this exquisite European flagship on the Champs Élyseés while working in-house for Tiffany & Co. in both New York and London.
This gem (no pun intended) combines traditional Parisian architectural and interior detailing with that of the modern Deco era true to this iconic American luxury jewellery brand - creating the ultimate destination and customer experience.
A structural marvel in itself - all of the interior floor plates were demolished and re-built to make way for the elliptical 3 level grand staircase with Tiffany heritage branded elements including the gold and silver wheatleaf balustrade.
An awe-inspiring 3 story chandelier - covering the main column with suspended prismatic glass rods - becomes the defining element to lure visitors and clients from the ground floor to the more private levels above.
Bespoke jewellery salons were created with the most noble materials including curvilinear-carved Carrara stone portals, suede-wrapped walls with inlaid bronze trims, branded Eglomise private sales doors, dark-stained oak wall panels with white gold gilding, and custom vitrines, showcases and lush furniture throughout.
Nicholas was involved in it all - from concept design to architectural detailing, weekly site visits during the course of construction, and the final installation with some of the most well-known artists and sculptors of our time.
